Creativity and innovation are at the heart of Cartesius Utrecht, and this week, resident Sjang Niederwieser is making waves at Dutch Design Week 2023 in Eindhoven. Known for his Stone Collection, Sjang now debuts his latest work—the Liquid Collection, an extraordinary exploration of light and form.

For the photo shoot of the Liquid Collection, Sjang took full advantage of the monumental hall of the CAB in Cartesius Utrecht, blending industrial heritage, innovation, and design into a striking visual composition.

The Liquid Collection is a fusion of artistry and technology, redefining the boundaries of conventional lighting. Each lamp emits a fluid, ever-changing glow, reacting to movement and space to create a dynamic visual symphony. Carefully hand-formed, the lamps feature subtle irregularities that make every piece unique. The result is not just a light source, but a living, breathing work of art.

The Liquid Collection is available in three sizes—S, M, and L—and can be crafted using materials of choice, including Greencast©, LED, aluminum, PLA, and cast iron, with a color temperature of 2700K.
