Eat healthy, feel good
In certain parts of the world, people live significantly longer, healthier lives. These Blue Zones share a common approach to nutrition, favoring natural, plant-based foods like beans, nuts, vegetables, and fruits—supplemented by fish and the occasional glass of wine. In today’s world, where processed foods dominate, making healthy choices isn’t always easy. That’s why Cartesius is designed to promote a nutritious lifestyle, integrating fresh, wholesome food into daily life.
Awareness and education
Creating a healthy living environment starts with knowledge. Cartesius fosters awareness and education, ensuring residents of all ages learn about healthy eating—not just in theory, but through hands-on experience. In the resident-managed botanical and kitchen gardens, located near the school, residents can grow their own fruits and vegetables, connecting with nature and their food.
Supermarket with healthy offer
Located between the CAB building and Utrecht Zuilen station, a supermarket will offer an extensive organic, vegetarian, and vegan selection, catering to both Cartesius residents and the surrounding community. Additionally, the CAB building will host seasonal markets featuring regional products—bringing fresh, local flavors straight to the neighbourhood.
